Authorities in Alberta, Canada, recently proposed a new e-cigarette bill that would ban the display of e-cigarettes in convenience stores but allow flavored e-cigarettes to continue to be sold, foreign media reported.
Tyler Shandro, Alberta's health minister, did not include flavoring products in his announcement in response to questions about amendments to the TOBACCO and Smoking Reduction Act, saying it could be a "decision along the way."
Alberta already has e-cigarette regulations in place, including a ban on anyone under the age of 18.
Chanderoy says there is growing evidence that e-cigarettes can harm teens, and statistics show that more young people in Alberta are using e-cigarettes.
